Halestorm - I Am The Fire - Meaning of the song
When Halestorm came up with the title for this song, they considered all of the different meanings I Am The Fire could have. Joe Hottinger, guitarist explained:
"'I am the one that I've been waiting for,' I believe is the best lyric that sums up the entire song. It's the notion that you are the only one who is holding you back. So be it with the fire."
"If you listen closely to the song, there are no doubled vocals, harmonies, or anything like that," he added. "It's all Lzzy (Hale, guitar and vocals) doing it on her own. I am the flames. Nobody else exists. That is the song's message."
